Small Groups are the building blocks of London Christian Fellowship. They are a safe place where people can develop friendships with others, share the joys and struggles of life and help each other to grow in their relationship with God. Our small groups vary in flavor, what they study, when they meet, etc. We invite you to find one that suits your style and schedule and experience the difference that a small group can make in your life. Listed below are some small groups for you to consider being a part of. If you have questions or would like more information about small groups, contact small group coordinator, Rob Swartz. |

Each study includes about 10 video sessions along with an in-depth study in your member workbook that has 5 homework segments for each video session. Some groups meet weekly for the video sessions and others meet bi-weekly to allow more time to get the homework completed.
Studies we have done or are currently doing include: ♦ Believing God ♦ Living Beyond Yourself (The Fruit of the Spirit) ♦ Daniel ♦ Jesus the One and Only ♦ Stepping Up (the Psalms of Ascent) ♦ Esther—It’s Tough Being a Woman ♦ Breaking Free ♦ Beloved Disciple—the Life and Ministry of John ♦ The Patriarchs

Preston & Liz’s Small Group
Our default meeting place is the Yoder Home (7578 Woods West Rd. Plain City Ohio), but we also meet in London whenever others volunteer to host.
We meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
We have a vision for studying the highlights of the life of Jesus and the early church, as we are finishing our walk through the Bible. Our study has been designed to sweep through highlights of the whole Biblical narrative, and let the Word of God transform our lives. We have been making a time-line of events, with our varying artistic abilities, that has grown very long and large. We hope to complete our study of the life of Jesus in five weeks, and then spend about seven weeks studying the church. After that we will discuss what is next.
We have a group of mostly post-high age, but welcome anyone interested to join.
Post High Small Group . We meet weekly at several locations, typically alternating in Columbus, Hilliard, and West Jefferson.
Our usual meeting day and time is Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. but we are always willing to see if there is a better day that works well for everyone.
We are comprised of both couples and singles which provides a great dynamic. The vision of our group revolves first and foremost around Christ and what his will is for us. We are currently focused on studying scripture and applying it with community outreach, but vary study material based upon what we feel called to cover.
We implement the idea of shared leadership in which we all take turns in leading and providing snacks for the group and we meet at each other’s homes and coffee shops. It is a great atmosphere of open and honest sharing!
Andrew & Stephanie’s Small Group
We make an effort to meet weekly, usually on Wednesdays at 7 because that seems to work best for everyone. Most meetings are at Ryan and Kris Freed’s house at 236 Sullivan Avenue in London.
The group is open to all ages. Participants will be happiest if they like small children, as there are several of these. We often study a book of the Bible or another book over the course of several weeks or months. When we get together we typically talk about what we’ve read, ask questions or bring up things that stood out to us, and figure out what we can take away from it. Afterward, we usually pray for each other. It’s a good time to discuss ideas, talk about struggles and difficulties, and encourage each other.
While that’s the typical meeting, the group structure is flexible and we re-evaluate after we’re done with each topic to see what we want to do moving forward.
The goals of the group are to learn to know and love God more, keep seeking truth, and have good fellowship with each other.
Bob & Bettyjo’s Small Group
We rotate hosting at our homes in the London and Lake Choctaw area.
We typically meet on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
We are made up of “empty nesters” (about to be, just and have been for a short period)
Goals for the group include: ♦ to fellowship, ♦ to study and discuss Gods Word and its application in our lives, ♦ and pray for one another.
Rob & Doris’s Small Group
We meet at our home at 1062 Dorset Court in London.
We meet from 6:30 - 8:30 in the evening but the day of the week can vary depending on schedules (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday). We try to meet weekly but sometimes skip a week due to busy schedules.
The core of this group is a neighborhood Bible Discussion group that has been meeting together for several years. The goal of this group is to help people grow in their knowledge the Bible and in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We invite anyone to be a part of this group (neighbors, coworkers, etc.) - even if they are not yet a believer or don’t know much about the Bible. We desire to see the people around us come to know Christ and allow Him to transform their lives.
Our group is made mostly of young families who live in Amherst Meadows subdivision but anyone is welcome.
A New Small Group?
We would love to see another group or two start!
Do you have a vision for a new small group or a group in a new area?
If so, let Rob know! J |
